Colourful Bird Mobile

This was a mobile in a shop. I couldn't decide which photo to put. They were just so vibrant and pretty. Which one is your favourite

Camden Town

I live in London. Here is some of Camden Market.

Lights

I cant help it I like the look of lights when they are photographed. This is the one from my room.

Nothing special.

Little Red

Taken as part of the fairy tale project I did for one of my uni course. In this photo the guy touching little red is the an interpretation of the wolf and the moment in the photo is the point where the huntsman finds the wolf and little red.

Shot on transparency 120 roll film.

Snow and Christmas Tree

Yes I know its now march but these are from when we had all that snow before Christmas. I love snow, well until it caused me to break my glasses and cost me money, now I'm not such a big fan. Enjoy the photos.

Neg experiment

Okay so a few months ago I posted some photos I took on film and scanned them in on my new neg scanner. Click here for the the post if you haven't already seen it.
Around the same time I went to the V & A and there was a series of photographs (I cant remember the artist) who had used photos from Mars made them into negatives and left them to gather dust. The out come was quite unusual. Inspired by this I left a negative on my mantle piece in my room last week I scanned it again. This is the outcome.

On the original post I only said it would be left for a couple of weeks but in fact it was a couple of months as it fell between the wardrobe and the mantle piece (the scratches are from me trying to retrieve it). I also wouldn't recommend this with an amazing important neg. this was just from a film i used up to try out the neg scanner.

Here's the original to compare it to.

Playgrounds

Well as promised another post. Aren't you bloggers lucky.

These 5 photos are scans of colour prints I did for an architecture project as part of my uni course (I also don't have a medium format negative scanner so these are scans of the prints). I am not sure how I feel about them. when I was shooting them they seemed a lot better in my head however I feel I have done well seeing though the problems I had, plus my tutor really liked them and gave me a first so I must of done something right.

The photos were taken with a Mamiya medium format camera on Fuji pro400h day balance film and printed on matt paper in a colour darkroom (old school style - loves it).

I mentioned that I had a few problems these were the camera is not the most mobile of things and was heavy, and I mean really heavy. I carried this to the park, which would usually take about 8 minutes took like half a hour. As the camera was already taken out as part of another project with a lighting kit (I didn't need this for my playground shoots so left that at home) I left the light metre at home. I wasn't about to walk all the way home so instead shot a Polaroid with the Polaroid back then bracked a lot and wished for the best. I thought I did all right (tries not to sound big headed much).

Any way take a look, comment, tell me what you think, follow.
